Freelance Regulatory Advisor

As natural gas and green gas have an important role in building a carbon-neutral economy with better air quality, our clients’ gas infrastructure is key to help ensure a successful and smooth energy transition. Our client’s assets are an essential complement to electricity infrastructure and serve as a cornerstone for secure, sustainable and affordable energy systems. Our client can count on the expertise and motivation of more than 1,100 employees in Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Within our client, the Regulatory department is working on the follow up of the European regulation, the development and evolution of the regulated documents that ensure an open third party access to our clients’ infrastructure and the definition of the regulated tariffs for the use of their infrastructure.

Within our client, the Regulatory department is working on the follow up of the European regulation, the development and evolution of the regulated documents that ensure an open third party access to our clients’ infrastructure and the definition of the regulated tariffs for the use of their infrastructure.
Our client is looking for a Regulatory Advisor to support the current Regulatory department, taking up following tasks:
- To support the development of tariff models (incl. P&L) for “new” gases or extend existing ones for scenario simulations (excel modelling);
- To present the results in comprehensive PowerPoint presentations;
- To support the development of tariff concepts and challenge proposals for “new” gases markets;
- To support new services description in the regulated documents;
- To analyse business model developed for new projects.
- Communicative, able to adapt communication level to the audience;
- Languages: fluent in English, a knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.
- Knowledge of the field of energy regulation;
- Modelling experience (in Excel);
- Able to challenge proposed solution and come up with new approaches;
- Flexible;
- Team player
