Your Role:
As a freelance procurement paralegal, you will act as the focal point within the Supply Chain Organization for assessing the impact of new regulations, such as the Digital Operation Resilience Act (DORA) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) guidelines (CSRD), on existing supplier contracts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Agreeing the scope of contracts to be amended in collaboration with program management.
- Defining prioritization methods for contract amendments.
- Creating synergies in contract adjustments across various regulations.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders (Category Managers, Legal, Service Business Owners, Third Party Security).
- Initiating dialogue/negotiations with affected suppliers and seeing amendments through to signature.
- Maintaining a clear status of progress, issues encountered, and providing regular reporting on these aspects.
Your Profile:
Required:
- Relevant procurement knowledge and experience (contracting, negotiation...).
- Experience liaising and coordinating multiple stakeholders in the context of contract negotiation.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and existing rationale.
- Project management experience.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with a hands-on approach.
- Pragmatic and results-oriented.
- Successful prioritization skills and coordination of multiple priorities.
- Proactive team player.
- Strong interpersonal skills - ability to listen to users and present messages clearly and convincingly to a senior audience.
Advantageous Skills:
- Procurement knowledge specific to IT.
- General knowledge of DORA, ESG, and other regulations.
- Experience dealing with new regulations impacting supply chains.
